The 90-Day Agent Launch Roadmap

Launch a paying AI agent business in three 30-day phases — without quitting your job.

The step-by-step plan to:
Build a working agent with tools you already have
Land your first paying client without a network
Turn one deal into a monthly retainer

Written by a security engineer who builds and runs production agents on top of a full-time job. Nothing in it requires you to quit yours.

What the Roadmap covers

Three phases. Ninety days.

Work the phases in order. Each one ends with something real: a working agent, a signed client, a monthly retainer.

1Days 1–30

Pick the offer and build the agent

Pick one niche with repeatable manual work
Scope one outcome the agent fully owns
Build it with the tools you already have
Run it on your own work until it holds up

You don't pitch anyone yet.

2Days 31–60

Pitch and land the first client

Shortlist local businesses that fit the offer
Show the working agent, not a slide deck
Price a setup fee plus a monthly retainer
Sign one client on a one-page agreement

One client is the whole goal.

3Days 61–90

Deliver, systemize, move to retainer

Deliver the first outcome inside two weeks
Write down every step you find yourself repeating
Move the client onto a monthly retainer
Use the result to open the next conversation

Retainer first. Then repeat.

Stop planning. Start building.

Landing the first client

Pick the right clients

The best first client is drowning in repeatable manual work and knows it. The worst one wants something no agent can deliver.

Go after

Local service businesses buried in scheduling and follow-up
Agencies doing the same reporting and client updates every week
Clinics with intake forms, reminders, and paperwork stacks
E-commerce back offices running the same task all day

Avoid

Companies that want a co-founder, not a vendor
Enterprise buyers with six-month procurement mazes
Anyone shopping for magic instead of a working system
Businesses that can't name the task they'd hand over

The pitch, in one breath

"You're paying a person to do the same task every day. I'll build a system that does it, run it for you, and if it doesn't work, you don't keep it."

Lead with the task you're taking off their plate. Talk price last, once they've seen the agent run.

Choosing your first agent

Three formats. Pick one.

You don't need a product line. You need one agent that owns one job. Start where the work is most repeatable — the Roadmap shows how to scope each format.

Format 01

Internal ops agent

Runs one back-office job — intake, scheduling, reporting — quietly, inside one business.

Fits: local services and clinics with a paperwork pile.

Format 02Best starter

Client-facing agent

Answers, qualifies, and books a business's own customers before a human ever steps in.

Fits: any business losing leads to slow replies.

Format 03

Content / pipeline agent

Turns one input into a scheduled pipeline of drafts, follow-ups, and status updates.

Fits: agencies and e-commerce back offices.
